ok so i havent updated my journal in like forever, but now i have something worth while to talk about.

yesterday our country chose its next leader, barack obama. whether or not you support the outcome, you must admit we have come a long way as a country. we have elected our first black president, when just a few decades ago blacks were discouraged from voting in the first place.

we have come so far, but we have such a long way to go. there wer a number of ballot initiatives in multiple states to determine things like gay marriage laws. in almost every one of the gay rights related referendums, gays lost marriage and adoption rights. as i write this, prop 8 in california, a referendum to decide whether homosexuals can marry or not and what happens to existing unions between same sex couples, is still too close to call.


hopefully i will live to see a day where all americans, black, white, gay, straight, male, female, will all have the same exact rights and oppourtunities that every other american has.

so ive decided to table the idea of moving into an apartment for now. it looks like i wont be moving until at least the end of the school year, when all my friends get kicked out of ther dorms and either move back home or look for apartments in the city.

i have two offers from friends for being roommates, its either going to be brian and his bf or courtney and her bf. either wud work out great. but it wont happen until like june, meanwhile i must make the trek from belgium to milwaukee everyday.

i started working again yesterday, it was the first day in like 3 weeks that i worked. it was at kohler bestbuy, because i cant get in at grafton or fox point

i bought bose companion 3 speakers yesterday. if ever you need speakers-- for ANYTHING -- go with bose. the sound quality is phenominal. i went with the companion 3 instead of 2 because it has a sub (tho the bass response from the 2 is quite good as well, i just wanted more) i had bose earbuds already and i was hooked.

school is going good-- sorta. i think im gonna end up switching my major. im in computer electronics right now... i like computers, but its more circuitry and shit that i have no interest in watsoever. i think im going to try for business management (something i actually understand. im going to talk to my manager and ask her how she got to where she is now in her career)

other than that, i really like this city. pretty much everything is within walking distance, and if it isnt i can take the bus for free with my student pass. i cant wait to move here. yay for milwaukee.


i havent really posted much of anything lately... i think its a combination of lack of motivation and lack of time. i have plenty to post (alot of it from florida still) but i just havent found the motivation to actually edit and post it.

k so i havent posted anything in like a month, but ive been really busy and stressed out.

i start school on aug 25th and im not looking forward to it. mainly because i have to get up at the asscrack of dawn to catch a bus to milwaukee. i also do not want to do any homework. lazy, yes, but when i have a job i really dont want anything else that take up time.


my last day at kohler bestbuy was last saturday, and i have yet to be transferred. ther having issues finding an opening for me at fox point. this is total horse shit because theyve known about it since february, yet none of my managers contacted anyone at the other store to work things out. and like for 2 weeks before my last day i kept asking when my first day wud be at fox point, and they said just to call and ask, turns out i was never put on the schedule, and noone ther knew anything about it. i kinda feel like ive been left hanging.


im still in need of an apartment (i had to suspend my search until i know my job situation) my roomate isnt happy with anything weve found so far. i think i need a new roommate. shes going to a different school than me and we have to try to find a place part way between our schools. id like a roomie who is going to either matc downtown or uwm or marquette, because then we can actually agree on a location.


i met someone i really like. well actually ive had my eye on this person since they started at bestbuy a few months ago. it wasnt until my last day ther that i actually grew the balls to let them know i was interested. it went well, ther interested too, BUT ,theyve been holding out for someone else for quite a while. so i kinda have to wait my turn. the two are going on a date tonight i guess, and if it doesnt work out i get to take over.

i got a zune 80 ther was nothing wrong with my sansa, i just filled it up and im nowhere near done downloading music. ive recently started downloading complete discographies of all the bands i like. ithe zune is highly recommended. the user interface is beautiful and it isnt an ipod.

sorry i havent updated anything in a while.

anyway... im moving to milwaukee in august and put an on graigslist for roommates to share an apartment with.

besides me, there will be 1 guy and 2 girls. they all have jobs.

one of the girls is a lesbian and the other is a teacher.

we are looking for an apartment near downtown with 2 or 3 bedrooms for under 700 a month. not too expensive considering the bill will be shared between 4 ppl.

we also have to buy things like a tv and furniture.

i am transferring to the fox point best buy too.
